Eastern Swiss company Abacus Research AG is taking a stake in the Western Swiss real estate software manufacturer Tayo SA, investing around 1.5 million francs.
The aim of this strategic partnership is to optimize the interaction between Tayo's platform and the AbaImmo property management software. This means direct connectivity with third parties such as property managers, tenants, concierges, craftsmen, and owners.
Wittenbach-St. Gallen / Lausanne, September 16, 2021 – Lausanne-based software developer Tayo was founded in 2017 at the EPFL (École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne). It has developed an extensive platform solution for real estate companies, simplifying and accelerating interactions between property managers, tenants, co-owners, concierges, and suppliers. All stakeholders in real estate can electronically exchange information, significantly easing the processes. The potential of this software was also recognized by the energy provider Romande Energie, which took a stake in the startup back in 2019.
The main reason for the investment in the Lausanne-based company is Abacus' interest in ensuring that not only the internal management processes and seamless integration with their own financial solution work smoothly, but also communication with third parties such as tenants, craftsmen, and owners. This communication must be as simple and efficient as possible. The collaboration between Tayo's platform and AbaImmo immediately adds a crucial feature in the age of digital business transactions: direct interaction and connectivity through the cloud.
It is also planned to seamlessly integrate the free cloud software Swiss.21 with the Tayo portal so that involved craftsmen can benefit from digitalization.
Daniel Senn, Executive Board member of Abacus, explains the partnership as follows: "With Tayo, we have found the ideal partner to offer our AbaImmo clients a modern and comprehensive 360° platform as a complement to the AbaImmo property management software. Our users will benefit from significant simplifications and an acceleration of the various processes surrounding rental properties."
Etienne Friedli, CEO of Tayo, emphasizes that with Abacus, Tayo has not only gained a new strategic investor: "The partnership with Abacus helps us further spread our platform in the market. We are confident that with Abacus, we have the best partner by our side to remain an independent Swiss software provider. Additionally, we expect synergies in software development, with the motto: one plus one equals more than two… Because together, we want to be even more successful."
